Skyscrapers, huts, urgency and patience, all that megacities are experiencing in their chaotic universe. Always expanding and mixing codes of fashion, art, conduct and ideas. We find them connected to a much more familiar world, like technologies in finances, which generate urban margins with many inequalities.

The emerging artists presenting are the loafers of the twenty-first century, the hackers of our responses to the urban environment, too often functional and standardized. Art, design and performances bursting with the need to be heard and understood. The desire to be oneself in an environment that changes so fast you might never be able to catch your truth. The endless search for the soul.

Coming from the city, Mexico city one of megapolis invited to participate in this project, nostalgia was my first crash. I found my self back in my teens, partying inside an abandoned house. The wall filled with urban art, the dance floor with performers and the ambience with youth. I always tried to be present in the most underground, cheap, impossible events. I used to sneak beer and cigarettes to sell to my friends. We were an awkward bunch, trying to find our independent voice and unique style in an ever-changing world. Pushing the limits of our creativity to attack attention.

C   N     O   N   C   L   U   S   I   O   N

If you love the city and its perfect chaos, if you have ever found yourself in a place where you don’t belong but you feel amazingly comfortable in it or if you have ever been attracted by the not so perfect art, you will find happiness and excitement in this exhibition. It not only takes interests in talents that are unconventional and might never have had the chance of exhibiting in a place like this, but it is honest and it does not give a shit what you think about it. Artistas, diseñadores y talentos desde Dhaka a Lagos, desde Manila a México, luego a Teherán, el Palais de Tokio reúne talentos secretos de estas megaciudades.

¿    Q   U   É       E   S   P   E   R   A   M   O   S     V   E   R   ?

Rascacielos, chozas, urgencia y paciencia, todo lo que las megaciudades están experimentando en su universo caótico. Siempre ampliando y mezclando códigos de moda, arte, conducta e ideas. Los encontramos conectados en un mundo mucho más familiar, como el mundo de las tecnologías y finanzas, generando márgenes urbanos con muchas desigualdades.

Los artistas emergentes que se presentan son los holgazanes del siglo XXI, los piratas informáticos de nuestras respuestas al entorno urbano, que a menudo son funcionales y están estandarizados. Arte, diseño y performances rebosantes en la necesidad de ser escuchados y comprendidos. El deseo de ser uno mismo en un entorno que cambia tan rápido que nunca podrá captar su verdad. La búsqueda interminable del uno mismo.

Viniendo de la ciudad, ciudad de México, una de las megápolis invitadas a participar en este proyecto, la nostalgia fue mi primer choque. Volví a mi estado aldolecente, de fiesta dentro de una casa abandonada. La pared llena de arte urbano, la pista de baile con performers y el ambiente solo la juventud y el instante. Siempre traté de estar presente en los eventos más subterráneos, baratos e imposibles. Solía ​​escabullir cerveza y cigarros para venderlos a mis amigos. Fuimos un grupo incómodo, tratando de encontrar nuestra voz independiente y estilo único en un mundo en constante cambio y envolvente. Empujando los límites de nuestra creatividad para atacar la atención sin ser succionados por este ciudad.

C   O   N   C   L   U   S   I   O   N

Si amas la ciudad y su caos perfecto, si alguna vez te has encontrado en un lugar al que no perteneces pero te sientes increíblemente cómodo o si alguna vez te ha atraído el arte no tan perfecto, encontrarás la felicidad momentanea aquí. Mucha emoción en esta exposición. No solo se interesa por talentos que no son convencionales y que nunca hayan tenido la oportunidad de exhibir en un lugar como este, sino que es honesto y no le importa una mierda lo que piensen al respecto. ¡Disfruten!
