Museums, galleries, art centers and historic landmarks open their doors all night for the night creatures, like us, to enter and enjoy the beauty of Paris under the moonlight.
We have been wandering the streets every Nuit Blanche, the night is full of surprises, happy people, art, concerts, installations and performances. That said, here is our top pick for the coolest night of the year:
Nuit blanche 2019 Carte blanche au Gray Area de San Francisco. Gaîté Lyrique. From 20h30 to 3h30.
As part of the associated programming of the Nuit Blanche 2019 on October 5th, Gaîte Lyrique invites once again a place that will unite us. After the Technological Arts Society of Montreal in 2018, they are giving carte blanche this year to the Gray Area of San Francisco.
Gray Area is San Francisco’s only art and technology center offering digital and social art programs year-round. Josette Melchor, Artistic Director and Founder, chose for this carte blanche a selection of the best electronic audiovisual live performances of the San Francisco Bay Area. A selection that presents all the styles and influences, and exposes the hidden treasures of San Francisco and Oakland.

Black Forest, Nuit Blanche a la Fondation Cartier from 21h00 to 01h00
Black Forest, one of the artistic platforms of the Great Nuit Blanche Parade, settles before the Cartier Foundation from 23:30. Inhabited by colorful street lamps, a dozen dressed crystal dolls and a troupe of costumed performers, Pascale Marthine Tayou’s mobile forest is a synthesis of nature, culture, sound and light. On the platform, nature mixes with urban elements and becomes a space of transgression, wonder and extraordinary sociability. The artist has invited a dozen performers, a kind of “crazy army” embodying the spirits of the forest, to roam within the exhibition Nous les Arbres exceptionally open for Nuit Blanche from 21h.

18th Nuit blanche at the IMA open from 17h to 00h. Musée de l’Institut du monde arabe.
As every year, the IMA is one of the museums, public and private spaces and cultural institutions that open their doors (and free), the time of a White Night dedicated this year to “Myths and fantastic stories”.
An evening of visits, tales … and thrills not to be missed with, for the first time at the IMA, a “Night of Fantastic Cinema”.
Philharmonie de Paris open from 18h 6h in the morning
New White Night at the Philharmonie! With this year a novelty: a “night” of children mixing various music and surprises punctuated from 18h to 22h. Beautiful surprises for the older ones: a Trio Night with prestigious formations under the guidance of the Wanderer Trio, a sound contemplation of the starry sky, eight hours of performances around Schumann’s Dichterliebe, a cello odyssey with Sonia Wieder-Atherton. Not to mention a more contemporary Organ Night.

Nuit Blanche de la Cité Fertile. From 19h00 to 1h00.
A former SNCF freight station in Pantin, La Cité Fertile is a third-place catalyst for meetings in the service of ecological and social transition. In this place of life and experimentation, La Cité Fertile brings together the actors of the city (inhabitants, citizens, communities, businesses …) and welcomes their initiatives to imagine and build together a happy and sustainable future.
For the first time, the Fertile City participates in the Nuit Blanche.
A closed ring road between the Porte de Pantin and the Porte de la Villette and a theme around the movement was enough to inspire us to launch an event around unusual sports.
They invite you to come play without rules, discover sports that you do not quite know and especially to find yourself in this stroll to contours to invent.

Equipped with glasses and all smiles, an inflatable XXL character follows the traits of Sylvie Fleury. This is a model of Bitmoji, this avatar that everyone can create in his image on the internet, choosing his genre, his clothes, his body … Destined to be published online, the Bitmoji here takes the form of a carnival creature (that of appearances?). With her big size, she wants to attract the attention, like the Internet users who try at all costs to stand out on the social networks. Virtual identity is today an object of desire and a tool for self-glorification. By shaping this mascot in her image, the visual artist performs a completely disproportionate narcissistic gesture. And she loves it.

Gray Area es el único centro de arte y tecnología de San Francisco que ofrece programas de arte digital y social durante todo el año. Josette Melchor, directora artística y fundadora, eligió para esta carta blanca una selección de las mejores presentaciones electrónicas audiovisuales en vivo del área de la Bahía de San Francisco. Una selección que presenta todos los estilos e influencias, y expone los tesoros escondidos de San Francisco y Oakland.

Black Forest, una de las plataformas artísticas del Gran Desfile de Nuit Blanche, se instala ante la Fundación Cartier a partir de las 23:30. Habitado por coloridas farolas, una docena de muñecas de cristal y una compañía de artistas disfrazados, el bosque móvil de Pascale Marthine Tayou es una síntesis de naturaleza, cultura, sonido y luz. En la plataforma, la naturaleza se mezcla con elementos urbanos y se convierte en un espacio de transgresión, maravilla y extraordinaria sociabilidad. El artista ha invitado a una docena de artistas, una especie de “ejército loco” que encarna los espíritus del bosque, a recorrer la exposición Nous les Arbres excepcionalmente abierta para Nuit Blanche a partir de las 21h.

Como todos los años, el IMA es uno de los museos, espacios públicos y privados e instituciones culturales que abren sus puertas (y gratis), el momento de una Noche Blanca dedicada este año a “Mitos e historias fantásticas”.
Una noche de visitas, cuentos … y emociones que no debe perderse, por primera vez en el IMA, una “Noche de cine fantástico”.
Philharmonie de Paris abierto de 18h a 6h de la mañana.
¡Nueva noche blanca en la Filarmónica! Con este año una novedad: una “noche” de niños mezclando música variada y sorpresas puntuadas de 18h a 22h. Hermosas sorpresas para los mayores: una noche de trío con formaciones prestigiosas bajo la guía del Wanderer Trio, una contemplación sonora del cielo estrellado, ocho horas de actuaciones alrededor de Dichterliebe de Schumann, una odisea de violonchelo con Sonia Wieder-Atherton. Sin mencionar una noche de órgano más contemporánea.

Nuit Blanche de la Cité Fertile. De las 19h00 a la 1h00.
La Cité Fertile, una antigua estación de carga de SNCF en Pantin, es un catalizador de tercer lugar para reuniones al servicio de la transición ecológica y social. En este lugar de vida y experimentación, La Cité Fertile reúne a los actores de la ciudad (habitantes, ciudadanos, comunidades, empresas …) y acoge con beneplácito sus iniciativas para imaginar y construir juntos un futuro feliz y sostenible.
Por primera vez, la ciudad fértil participa en la Nuit Blanche.
Una carretera de circunvalación cerrada entre la Porte de Pantin y la Porte de la Villette y un tema en torno al movimiento fue suficiente para inspirarnos a lanzar un evento sobre deportes inusuales.
Te invitan a jugar sin reglas, descubrir deportes que no conoces del todo y especialmente para encontrarte en este paseo por los contornos para inventar.
La instalación XXL DE Sylvie Fleury en la Place de la Concorde toda la noche.
Equipado con gafas y todas las sonrisas, un personaje inflable XXL sigue los rasgos de Sylvie Fleury. Este es un modelo de Bitmoji, este avatar que todos pueden crear en su imagen en Internet, eligiendo su género, su ropa, su cuerpo … Destinado a ser publicado en línea, el Bitmoji aquí toma la forma de una criatura de carnaval (¿solo en apariencias?). Con su gran tamaño, quiere atraer la atención, como los usuarios de Internet que intentan a toda costa destacarse en las redes sociales. La identidad virtual es hoy un objeto de deseo y una herramienta para la auto-glorificación. Al dar forma a esta mascota en su imagen, la artista visual realiza un gesto narcisista completamente desproporcionado. Y a ella le encanta.
